Jesus clothes are taken away.

Leader:  We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you.
All:  Because by your holy cross You have redeemed the world.

The soldiers notice you have something of value.  They remove your cloak and throw dice for it.  Your wounds are torn open once again.  Some of the people in the crowd make fun of you.   They tease you and challenge you to perform a miracle for them to see.   They're not aware that you'll perform the greatest miracle of all!

As a child, sometimes I'm tempted to repeat stories I know are unclean and disrespectful.  I sometimes try to act grown up by using crude and bad words.

As an adult, sometimes I repeat stories that are disrespectful of others.  I can entertain thoughts that are not clean.  Sometimes I give the young people around me a bad example to follow.

Help me to keep myself pure and clean.  Help me say things that build up the people around me.  Help me overcome worldly desires that I may become more like Jesus.  Help me set a good example for others to follow.

LET US PRAY:
God, help me be aware of the prejudices I have against others.  Help me value those around me, rather than degrading them by telling unclean stories.  Help me strive to be pure in my thoughts, words and deeds.  Through Christ, our Lord.  Amen.

Jesús es despojado de sus vestiduras.

Lider:  Te adoramos, ¡Oh, Cristo! y te bendecimos.
Todos:  Que por Tu Santa Cruz redimiste al mundo.

Los soldados se fijaron que poseías algo de valor.  Te removieron la túnica y la echaron a suerte.  Tus heridas quedaron, nuevamente, al descubierto.  Algunas personas entre la multitud se burlaban de Ti.   Te retaban a que realizaras un milagro y te molestaban.    ¡No se habían percatado de que estabas a punto de realizar el milagro mas grande!

Como un niño, Me veo con la tentación de repetir historias que no son muy buenas o que son irrespetuosas.  A veces trato de impresionar como si fuera grande usando palabras obscenas y siendo rudo.

Como un adulto, a veces digo historias que le falta el respeto a los demás.  Me entretengo con pensamientos que no son tan limpios y puros.  Muchas veces le doy a los mas pequeños un ejemplo no muy bueno a seguir.

Ayúdame a mantenerme puro y limpio de corazón y pensamiento.  Help me say things that build up the people around me.  Ayúdame a vencer los deseos mundanos y volverme mas como Jesús. Ayúdame a ser un buen ejemplo para que otros puedan imitarlo.

OREMOS:
Dios, Ayúdame a darme cuenta de los prejuicios que pueda tener asía los demás.   Ayúdame a valorizar a los que me rodean, antes de degradarlos o burlarme de ellos con historias y cuentos.  Ayúdame a ser puro de corazón,pensamiento, palabras y acciones.  Por Jesucristo, Nuestro Señor.  Amén.
